Frequently asked questions

What format are the output files?

Output is always PNG, since PNG supports transparency. JPEG does not support transparent pixels, so the rounded corner areas (which are transparent) require a PNG container.

How do I make circular images?

Set the radius to half the image dimension. For example, a 400×400px image with radius 200 will produce a perfect circle. PixelForge caps the radius at half the shortest side automatically.

Will the background show as white or transparent?

The corner areas are fully transparent in the PNG output — they will show whatever background color is behind them when used in a web page, design file, or presentation.
