Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
1. Overview
PixelForge ("we", "us", "our") provides online bulk image processing tools at www.usepixelforge.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We are committed to handling your information with care and transparency.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: Email address when you sign in via magic link.
- Uploaded files: Image files you upload for processing. These are stored temporarily and deleted automatically on a schedule based on your plan.
- Usage data: Job history, operation types, file counts, and batch sizes — used to enforce plan limits and display your dashboard.
- Payment data: Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and request logs for security and abuse prevention.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
- To process your images and return results.
- To enforce plan limits (file count, batch size, monthly jobs).
- To send transactional emails (sign-in links, billing receipts).
- To improve the service by analyzing aggregate usage patterns.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
- Free plan: Uploaded files and output ZIPs are deleted after 24 hours.
- Pro plan: Files are retained for 7 days.
- Business plan: Files are retained for 30 days.
- Download links expire after 1 hour regardless of plan.
- Account and job metadata (not file contents) may be retained for up to 12 months for billing and support purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate PixelForge:
- Amazon S3 — File storage (private buckets, encrypted at rest).
- Stripe — Payment processing.
- Resend — Transactional email delivery.
- Heroku — Application hosting and infrastructure.
Each provider has their own privacy policy and data protection practices.
6. Cookies and Sessions
We use only essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that profile your browsing behavior.
7. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Uploaded files are stored in private S3 buckets with no public access. We apply rate limiting and access controls to prevent unauthorized use. That said, no system is 100% secure — please do not upload highly sensitive or confidential files.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@usepixelforge.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of PixelForge after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
