What this tool does
Add a consistent border or frame to your entire image collection in a single batch. Choose the border width in pixels and any background color. PixelForge adds equal padding on all four sides, making it easy to create a uniform framed look for social media, print, or portfolio use.
Problems it solves
- Adding a white border to product photos for a clean, professional look
- Framing a portfolio of artwork with a consistent colored border before printing
- Adding padding around images before compositing them into a layout
- Creating Instagram-style white-border photos in bulk
Example
Add a 30px white border to 200 product photos for a clean marketplace look
Frequently asked questions
Is this different from Add Padding?
Yes. Add Padding resizes your image to fit a specific target canvas size (e.g. 1000×1000px). Add Border adds a fixed number of pixels around the existing image regardless of its size — the output will be the original dimensions plus 2× the border size on each axis.
Can I add different border widths on each side?
The Add Border tool applies equal width to all four sides. For asymmetric padding, use the Add Padding tool with a target canvas size that gives you the desired offsets.
What colors can I use for the border?
Any hex color — white (#ffffff), black (#000000), or any custom color. Use the color picker or type a hex value directly.
How large can the border be?
There is no practical limit, but very large borders (e.g. 500px on a 100px image) will produce very small-looking content. The border is added in pixels, so scale it relative to your image dimensions.
