What this tool does

Mirror your images horizontally (left-right) or vertically (top-bottom) across an entire batch in seconds. PixelForge's bulk image flipper is useful for correcting mirrored selfies, creating symmetry effects, preparing images for print layouts, or reversing the orientation of product photos. Works on any image format — JPEG, PNG, WebP, and more.

Problems it solves

  • Correcting selfies that are mirrored by the front camera
  • Flipping product photos to show both left and right orientations
  • Creating mirrored pairs of images for symmetrical layouts or print
  • Reversing the direction of a waterfall or landscape for compositional variety

Example

Flip 200 product photos horizontally to create mirror variants for a catalog

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between horizontal and vertical flip?

A horizontal flip (mirror) creates a left-right mirror image — the left side becomes the right side. A vertical flip creates an upside-down image — the top becomes the bottom. You can apply both at once to rotate the image 180° while also creating a mirror.

Does flipping reduce image quality?

No — flipping is a lossless geometric operation on the pixel data. No image information is lost. If you save as JPEG afterward, quality may change slightly due to JPEG's lossy compression, but the flip itself is lossless.

Is this the same as rotating?

No. Rotating turns the image by 90°, 180°, or 270°. Flipping creates a mirror image. A horizontal flip is different from a 180° rotation — flipping reflects the image, rotation turns it.

Can I flip and rotate in the same operation?

Yes — use the Rotate & Flip tool, which lets you set both a rotation angle and flip direction in a single operation.
