How does smart crop work?

Smart Crop uses two strategies: Attention finds high-contrast and edge-dense regions that the human eye naturally focuses on. Entropy finds the most visually complex region with the most information. Both work better than simple center-cropping for most photos.

What is the difference between Attention and Entropy strategies?

Attention is best for portraits and photos with a clear subject — it finds the region most likely to draw the eye. Entropy is better for landscapes and scenes with distributed detail — it finds the most information-dense region.

Will smart crop work perfectly on every image?

Smart crop significantly outperforms center cropping but is not perfect. Images with multiple subjects or unusual compositions may not crop ideally. Always review critical images after batch processing.
